Hans Zimmer - Paperhouse

Here's Hans Zimmer's score from Paperhouse. This is sometimes referred to as the debut of director Bernard Rose, (who went on to do the rather awesome Candyman) but he actually had a couple of films before Paperhouse.

1. Overture (06:30)
Hans Zimmer
2. Is Anybody There? (11:08)
Hans Zimmer
3. Sanctus (01:44)
Hans Zimmer (From Gabriel Faure's "Requiem")
4. I'll Be Back (02:20)
Hans Zimmer
5. The Staircase (01:46)
Stanley Myers
6. Me And My Daughter, We Get On Like A House On Fire (17:42)
Hans Zimmer

Bernard Rose seems like an interesting guy. I haven't loved (or even seen) *all* his films, but based on the ones I have seen, he comes across as someone eager to defy expectations and push his limits, and that's always welcome.

I disagree with you on CANDYMAN, but I'm a big fan of this film and this score - thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting this. I always loved the score from this film. It was probably the first score I ever owned by Hans Zimmer (on audio cassette). Sadly, it was lost when I moved. Thanks again and I look forward to your future scores.

The film is pretty okay, but it's been a while since I've seen it.
EVERYBODY should download this now rare score, it is an all-time favorite of mine!

It's a weird movie for sure. I can't remember the music much though, may have to download it just to refresh.

I don't have a DVDR copy but if you have a multi-region player, you can get the Australian R4 DVD pretty cheaply. It's a new anamorphic widescreen transfer. No extras but the disc looks good.
