Pardon Me, But Your Teeth Are in My Neck...

To celebrate Halloween The Morgue presents Krzysztof Komeda's music to the Roman Polanski film The Fearless Vampire Killers or Pardon Me, But Your Teeth Are in My Neck. I hope you all have fun at whatever Halloween event you partake in tonight. Taking the kids Trick or Treating, Costume Party, vandalizing houses in the name of Halloween, or whatever else crazy crap you end up doing. Just try not to get arrested. I'm going to make my famous Pumpkin Nog tonight, so I'm excited. Okay, I'm a total liar, I have never made any kind of nog in my life. Although Pumpkin Nog does sound quite interesting now that I mention it.

tcm are showing this tonight (in the uk at least), they show it every halloween it seems, but then they show it once a fortnight anyway like every other film they show (dont think that is so in the US but over here TCM replay the same mgm films endlessly).

it is a great film & s/track, a reviewer in the aurum encyclopedia of horror films calls it "the most innovative & haunting score ever devised for a horror movie".

i'd like to go out & do some terrorising in the neighbourhood but it's too cold to do that so i think i'll watch a horror film & get drunk instead.

happy halloween!

Cheers for this beautiful album, not to mention the Veruschka. What a fantastic blog! Any more Morricone up your sleeve? Perhaps La Donna Invisible?

Were/are there any official releases of Komeda's KNIFE IN THE WATER score?
