Here is the soundtrack from the 1974 action film Black Belt Jones, starring Jim Kelly, former owner of one of the all-time greatest afros. The film was directed by Robert Clouse who one year earlier directed Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee, John Saxon (!) and Mr. Black Belt Jones himself, Jim Kelly. For some unholy reason there is not a legitimate DVD release of the film. What the hell is that about? And where the hell is a DVD release for the 1974 blaxploitation zombie classic Sugar Hill while I'm on the subject?
If you think the music to a film called Black Belt Jones would be completely funktacular, then you'd be correct.

Thanks for sharing BBJ soundtrack.
Which totally reminds me... does anyone else remember Basketball Jones? Is that in public domain, or any sort of release form?
It's on the Cheech & Chong album LOS COCHINOS... still in print.
Great minds think alike (posted this oine last month). LOL
Enjoy the blog. Thanks for the tunes.
Dennis Coffey is still around, I believe, even performing live. As I recall, he played on several Motown hits.
