Here's Daniel Licht's music from Children of the Night, the 1991 vampire film from director Tony Randel, who was also responsible for Hellraiser II and the Seth Green/Carlton Banks killer tick epic Ticks. By the way, I'm totally using George Hamilton's Dracula accent from Love At First Bite when I type "Children of the Night".
I haven't seen Children of the Night, but I've added it to my Blockbuster online queue, which means, I don't know, maybe they might send it at some point. Who the hell knows? I had heard of the movie before, but I wasn't too interested (again, a lot of shitty low rent Vampire/Werewolf films out there) until I found out Randel had directed it. I thought his Ticks was actually very well done, and had some great tick effects considering the budget. And Hellbound has always been my favorite Hellraiser film (not the best, but my personal favorite), so I would like to see what he can do with the low rent vampire genre.
I was also interested when I heard it had Ami Dolenz, who was a fairly popular B-movie actress in the early 90s'. She was in Ticks, Witchboard 2, Pumpkinhead II (which incidentally features one of the most poorly edited scenes I've ever seen) and the lovable Miracle Beach. Actually speaking of Miracle Beach, does anyone know where to find a copy? When I was about 11 years old, Miracle Beach was on literally about 8 times a week and I grew to really like it, despite it's overall suckitude. Sure, I probably shouldn't have been watching a movie like that when I was that young, but whatever, we had Cinemax. You try to resist late night Cinemax at that age. Anyway, I've seen overpriced VHS copies on eBay, but I've not loaded/willing enough to pay decent money for a VHS of a beach genie movie.

Thanks for that - though it is a vampire movie I've not actually seen yet!
Don't forget that Daniel Licht also did the score for "Hellraiser IV", so it kinda stayed in the family...
Hey Chris. This score post was a surprise to me cause it's not a well-known film and I didn't even think about the score being available - sweet! I left comments on the "52 Zombies & 1 Bullet" blog about Castle Freak & Subspecies being rented by me when they came out in the early 90's. Two other rad movies that had great, spooky trailers that I rented back then were Children Of The Night & Severed Ties - both put out by Fangoria at that time. Children Of The Night (just bought the cheap DVD) has always been a fun old favorite especially since I was 18 years old and Severed Ties (I have an original VHS) is an awesome little cult horror flick you must see. Oh and I also love "Ticks" as well and agree that it is great for its' budget. It came out at a time in the 90's when there was not a lot of decent horror in the theatre or even out on video. Thanks for the COTN score dude and talk soon!
