What I meant to mention is that if you're hoping for the harmony guitar intro to God Gave Rock 'n' Roll to You II as featured in the film then sadly it doesn't exist in the public domain outside of the film, in which the smart money is on it having been performed by Steve Vai. This track was released as a single but that has even less of an intro than the version on this album.
Also, remember that the song in question is not merely a cover, but more half cover/half sequel to the original:
"God Gave Rock 'n' Roll to You" by Argent
It looks like I've gone out of my way to put a downer on it, but it's a really good early 90s rock compilation, and the Faith No More track is a particular joy.

That intro is part of a track on the Steve Vai cd The Illusive Light and Sound vol 1 (I believe),Which featured 2 new songs,plus the guitar duel in Crossroads and the music he did for the film PCU.If it isn't that cd,it was one released around the same time.
Wow - I wonder if I can mash up an approximation of what's heard in the film? If I can, I'll make sure that you guys know about it.
Double checked...it is that cd.If you can't find it,I am uploading tonight and posting tomorrow afternoon (Eastern U.S. Time).It has the PCU stuff,the Crossroads guitar duel,2 Bill and Ted Tracks,a cover of Celluloid Heroes and a song written about Anne Rice's Lestat Chronicle.I thought I already had them posted myself,but it will be up there tomorrow.
Oh, I know it's the right CD as I already got myse;f a copy.
Am so looking forward to stitching that Vai stuff onto the Kiss song. Thank you so much - eighteen years later I can finally reconstruct the movie version of the song!
