CREEPY – This is the World of the Creepy!

Continuing on with 3 more issues of Creepy. This set includes Issue #19 (Mar. 1968), #20 (May 1968) and #21 (July 1968). While I love the idea of a giant Cyclops frog, my favorite cover here is for issue #19, Mark Twain – Zombie Asskicker. At least, that’s what I’ve been calling it. Enjoy...if you dare! (It's been a while since I've used an 'If you dare!' joke, hasn't it?)

Can't thank The Morgue enough for delivering Creepy and Eerie, the true graphic novels of their day.

Actually I think that's a painting of the Martians from the 1953 version of War of the Worlds, though I thought they were pinker in that. It's all in the suction cup fingers. I think that cover might even be by Ron Cobb, my favorite artist production artist and a damn fine political cartoonist once upon a time.

    Thanks for sharing!
