Continuing on with 3 more issues of Creepy. This set includes Issue #19 (Mar. 1968), #20 (May 1968) and #21 (July 1968). While I love the idea of a giant Cyclops frog, my favorite cover here is for issue #19, Mark Twain – Zombie Asskicker. At least, that’s what I’ve been calling it. Enjoy...if you dare! (It's been a while since I've used an 'If you dare!' joke, hasn't it?)
stupendously creeeeepy! thanks again!
ReplyDeleteCan't thank The Morgue enough for delivering Creepy and Eerie, the true graphic novels of their day.

ReplyDeleteActually I think that's a painting of the Martians from the 1953 version of War of the Worlds, though I thought they were pinker in that. It's all in the suction cup fingers. I think that cover might even be by Ron Cobb, my favorite artist production artist and a damn fine political cartoonist once upon a time.
Thanks for sharing!
