Creepshow - Now a Very Scary Graphic Novel

Here is the graphic novelization of George A. Romero's film Creepshow published by Penguin imprint Plume in July 1982, a month prior to the film's release. Written by one Stephen King, and illustrated by Bernie Wrightson with Michele Wrightson while the cover art is done by Jack Kamen. Special effects by Tom Savini.

Everyone visiting this site has seen Creepshow, so there's no real point in recapping the short stories contained within, but here you go anyway:
  • "Father's Day" - Will somebody please get this guy some fucking cake?
  • "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill" - Stephen King is Swamp Thing
  • "The Crate"
  • "Something to Tide You Over"
  • "They're Creeping Up on You"
I was a little upset that my favorite line of the movie "Meteor Shit!" is different here. "Meteorcrap!" just doesn't have the same ring to it. Still, this is worth a look if you're a fan of the film.

I drove out there with the remains of three human beings... well, two human beings and Wilma.

  1. Thanks Phelpster!
I have this copy in my collection, but it's sealed in plastic, so this scanned copy is a gift from heaven!

Just a thought? I've noticed that you haven't done a Ladies of Hammer films tribute, yet ;)

    Any chance?

    Thanks
    Alex
