Karen Black - July 1, 1939 - August 7, 2013

So sad to hear about Karen Black's passing yesterday. She was always an interesting actress, and definitely one of the most prolific female actresses of all time. In addition to her roles in more acclaimed films like Easy Rider, Horror fans also got to enjoy some remarkable performances from her in movies like Trilogy of Terror, House of 1,000 Corpses and The Pyx. She will be missed.

"Karen Black, the prolific actress who appeared in more than 100 movies and was featured in such counterculture favorites as "Easy Rider," ''Five Easy Pieces" and "Nashville," has died in Los Angeles.
Black's husband, Stephen Eckelberry, says the actress died Thursday from complications from cancer. She was 74.
