Mike Mendez's PG-13 Big Ass Spider Deemed Too Offensive By Wal-Mart

Here's an odd one. It looks like Wal-Mart has decided that the "Ass" in Mike Mendez's Big Ass Spider is too offensive for shoppers, so they've had the covers censored by slapping the word "Gest" over the "Ass", so the cover reads BIGGEST SPIDER. I'm totally not joking.

This is just strange. If it was Big Fucking Spider, or Big As Shit Spider, or Holy Shit What A Big Ass Fucking Spider I could understand them wanting to censor it, but ass? We need to censor the word ass?

This is extra weird because I was in a Wal-Mart Market not 6 hours ago picking up some Kung-Fu brand Vietnamese noodles and I walked past a display of the movies Kick-Ass and Kick-Ass 2. And here's the search for Kick-Ass on Walmart.com, it's like a whole page of ass: http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_query=kick-ass&ic=16_0&Find=Find&search_constraint=4096

In the $5 bin at Wal-Mart you can pick up a copy of the Last House on the Left remake and watch Becca from Superbad get brutally raped and murdered, but they'll be goddamned if someone might read the word "ass" on a DVD cover.
