Robocop Latest 8-Bit NECA Action Figure

First Jason, then Freddy, now yet another iconic 80's movie character is getting a figure based on their not so iconic NES game. Introducing 8-bit Robocop:

Robocop is the third figure in our highly successful line of classic 8-bit video game tributes. Released at the very end of 1989 for the super popular 8-bit home console, the video game Robocop is an ’80s classic.

NECA’s Robocop (1989 Video Game Appearance) will be a fully articulated 7-inch figure with spring-loaded holster and Auto-9 Pistol. Robocop is painted in the blue-ish purple video game deco with a hint of cel shading. This figure comes in a special window box packaging with opening flap to re-create the look and feel of the classic 1989 video game packaging.

LIMITED TO ONE PRODUCTION RUN ONLY

If they plan to do more of these Nintendo figures, might I suggest Beetlejuice?

Herbert West Re-Animated in Action Figure Form

From Figures.com:

Retailer and toy developer Amok Time surprised NYCC attendees with the announcement that they have acquired the license for RE-ANIMATOR. The license includes both the original 1985 film, as well as the 1990 sequel, Bride of Re-Animator. Amok Time will be producing THREE (3) action figures of Herbert West as part of their Monstarz collection. These are being sculpted by talented artist Jean St. Jean and are all scheduled for release in the Fall of 2014. Amok Time wouldn't give specifics on each figure aside that Herbert in the poster above is an obvious choice as one figure. each figure will include accessories and other cool pack-ins (such as the wild flying bat head from "Bride"). Amok Time will be showing at this year's Toy Fair in February and should have some prototypes to show by then. Great news for fans of classic 80's horror!

NECA's Gargantuan Mohawk-Spider Gremlin Figure

One of the most terrifying creatures of my childhood has manifested itself in action figure form. The Mohawk/Spider Gremlin who Rambo Gizmo defeats with a paper clip bow and flaming pencil arrow will be available to preorder starting next week.

NECA announces that their most massive Gremlin action figure ever produced is finally headed your way this Fall. When fully assembled the Spider Gremlin stands over 10" tall and is nearly 15" across and over 12" deep.  An incredible re-creation of the puppet seen in Gremlins 2: The New Batch, the Spider Gremlin features a hinged jaw, ball jointed shoulders, elbows, and wrists and 8 massive spider legs that are also articulated in 3 places each. In total over 30 points of articulation.

Also includes a support stand to help balance and display him in your desired poses.  This figure is sure to be the centerpiece for every Gremlins collection. Pre-orders start next week with an SRP of around $50.
