Eat A Bowl Of Fuck! Night of the Demons and Witchboard from Scream

Scream Factory just announced a couple of highly anticipated titles from director Kevin Tenney for early 2014 Blu-ray releases.

"Director Kevin Tenney's ouija board hit WITCHBOARD and the "Eat a bowl of F*@K" classic NIGHT OF THE DEMONS (which, in particular, has quite a vocal following and has been requested many times here) will both be coming to Blu-ray in early 2014!!!!!!!!!!!

No details to report other than DEMONS will be a "Collector's Edition" and the artwork is already in the works."

I've only seen Witchboard once before so I'm not too familiar with that one, but I totally love Night of the Demons. I really enjoy most demonic possession films - especially if they involve a large group of people trapped in one location like Demons or The Convent, and Night of the Demons is probably my absolute favorite. I'm really excited to see what they do with these two titles, might I suggest a bonus CD  featuring each film's soundtrack?

Linea Quigley Horror Workout Official DVD - Shipping April 11th

Linea Quigley Horror Workout Presale Going On Now First Copy Ships April 11th

"An exercise experience like no other, Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout is a hilariously campy and gore-filled parody of the celebrity exercise video trend of the 1980s. Scream queen Linnea Quigley (known by film fans for her roles in cult classics like Night of the Demons and Return of the Living Dead) ponders the physical demands of her past films (running from zombies, wielding heavy chainsaws), and shows her friends (and us) just how she stays in shape to survive in the horror genre. Sexy stretching, killer cardio, and undead aerobics are all part of the routine, so get warmed up for the bloodiest – and most entertaining – workout video you’ll ever see!"

Linnea Quigley’s Horry Workout was originally released in VHS format. For the first time ever you can see the Horror Workout in DVD Format. This newly remastered DVD has special features and a new interview with Linnea Quigley and director Kenneth J. Hall. This makes a great addition to any Horror aficionado’s collection. A first run Limited Edition of 1,000 units will come with a numbered 5x7 photo signed by Linnea Quigley and Kenneth J. Hall.

Media Blasters DVDs Done Dirt Cheap at Suncoast/FYE

Anyone with an FYE or Suncoast nearby, a bunch of old Media Blasters/Shriek Show/Guilty Pleasures DVDs have started showing up priced between $1.97 and $3.97. One thing to remember when going into a Suncoast or an FYE, be prepared to say "No, thanks" A LOT. When checking out the dude will offer you 4 different promotions, one month trial for their Suncoast card, a 6 issue free trial of Sports Illustrated that you'll forget to cancel and end up paying a hundred and seventeen dollars for the whole year...just keep saying no until you have the receipt in your hand and you will be fine.

These DVDs are scattered around the store, so you will have to look around a bit. I found a few in the horror section, a few in a bin right outside the front of the store, but most of them were on a wall with a sign that said something like "Low Priced Movies". At my store this wall was located partially behind the counter, which made me feel like I was going to accidentally rob the store while I was flipping through the discs.

Here's my haul, I swear I didn't use an eleven year old cell phone to take this picture:

And here's a list of what people have found:
  • Art of the Devil 1+2 - $3.97
  • Central Park Drifter
  • The Confessional - Pete Walker

Linnea Quigley's Horror Workout Custom Cover

I thought I'd post something a little out of the ordinary today. Here it is, one of the few exercise videos endorsed by The Manchester Morgue, Linnea Quigley's Horror Workout (Warm Up with Traci Lords and Jennie Garth's Body in Progress being the others I endorse).

Those of you who have been with me for a while will remember that I posted the Music I ripped from this quite a while ago but it's just such a bizarre video I thought it'd be fun to share here. Anyway, I recommend any Linnea fans, people who really, really like zombies no matter what they're doing, or people who just have bad taste in general download this at once.

I had a higher quality image of the cover here, but copies started showing up on eBay using my cover. Linnea's manager contacted me, so I felt it was best to remove the cover.

Warning: This video contains excessive nudity, gratuitous crimped hair, undead calisthenics and a slasher wearing a Ronald Reagan mask, (about 17 years prior to same idea being used in the film The Tripper). Children under 17 please get your parent's permission before viewing this video.

Linnea Quigley and The Skirts - Santa Monica Blvd. Boy

Just got one song I wanted to share this time. This is Linnea Quigley and The Skirts with Santa Monica Blvd. Boy from the movie Nightmare Sisters. A song about what it's like to be a girl whose boyfriend really prefers the company of other boys. I'm not sure if Linnea's band ever actually did anything other than this, but this song, pardon my language, fucking rules.

I really wanted to include this in my Linnea Quigley's Horror Workout post since the entire scene is featured in that video at one point in between two workout segments. Unfortunately it sounded too awful to use in that video. So, I've tracked a DVD copy down just to get this one song. Luckily the movie looks to be a Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-a-Rama type film, so I'm sure I'll be entertained. The Nightmare Sisters DVD, while not sounding really great, does sound a bit better so I wanted to put it up. I've included the rip from the DVD as well as an attempt to do some noise reduction on the track. I'm not one of those people with a really good ear so I'm not sure which is better, so I'll give you guys both. A note on the track, about 20 seconds in the volume gets a bit louder. This is how it is in the movie, I guess they got into the song and really wanted to rock a little harder, so there's not a lot I can do about that.

Selections from Linnea Quigley's Horror Workout

This is another one of those completely retarded things that's very existence completely amazes me. The self-dubbed "scariest exercise video ever made", Linnea Quigley's Horror Workout. Although if we're choosing the scariest exercise video ever made I'd like to throw this little number out there as one I think just might take the cake for that title.

So I was bored and thought it'd be fun to rip the music from a few of the little routines, or whatever the hell you call workout numbers. I've been going back and forth on whether to post this or not. The copy I have was a DVD+R copy given to me by a friend. It was ripped from a VHS, which is surely the only incarnation of this thing we'll ever see, so the sound quality on these few tracks is not great. I tried to touch up the audio, I did some noise reduction, but I'm not an expert or anything, so it's not great. But it's not totally terrible. The music itself is cheesy as hell, kinda like Nintendo-ish music from 1988, but like Nintendo music that you can dance to or something. In fact the final track reminds me of the music from T&C Surf Design
. The first track is actually very cool, but sadly Linnea is in the shower for the whole scene so you can hear water running the whole track. I mean, "Yay!" for the naked part, but the music suffers from it. I don't know, I just thought it would be kinda funny to post this. If at least one person gets a kick out of this, then I've done my job.

John Vulich is credited as the man responsible for the music. This is his only attempt at scoring, although he's done a lot of make-up work for films like Day of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead 1990, and Being John Malkovich. He most recently did effects work on Christopher Nolan's The Prestige.

The workout video is only an hour-long, 1/4 of which is just clips from Linnea's movies, then there are scenes between each routine so the "soundtrack" here is only about 25 minutes long.

1. Warning : The Most Gratuitous Shower Scene Since Sorority House Massacre II
2. The Killer Interupts Linnea's Warmup
3. Zombie Joggers Stalk Linnea
4. Final Workout Prior To The Slaughter
