Blogspot Sites Mentioned in The Guardian

Kevin, one of my readers, was kind enough to point out that my site was listed in the British national newspaper The Guardian under a "recommended internet sites" section. He was also kind enough to scan in the article and send it to me. I was very happy and excited to see my site mentioned (obviously), made my day actually. So I thought I'd give everyone a look at the page, which also mentions several fellow blogger sites such as Xtabay's World, Mondo Morricone, You Don't Have To Visit This Blog and one that was new to me called Stigma Rest Room. I'm gonna try and use this whole thing on my resume, once I think of a fancy way of saying it. I'm open to any suggestions because I've got nothing. Here's a closer look at the actual part of the page that mentions us, in case you can't make it out on the first image:

Since I'm now a celebrity in England I'm going to try and use it to my advantage and briefly date that chick from The Bionic Woman. Or maybe I'll go for Jodi Albert. That is unless Xtabay or nomwl1 beat me to it. Wish me luck.

Congratulations! Nice to see you getting some credit, although I admit i kinda dug the idea of it being a secret club for just the cool kids... Ah well, share the joy!

Congratulations! You deserve the recognition for the work you've put into this site over the years. It is still one of the favourite sites I have bookmarked and I often look forward to checking to see if you have made a new post!

Congratulations! I always knew this was a grade-A blog, and now the world does too! Keep up the good work!

Actually, you should be very worried about this minor-scale fame development. This is only gonna make media companies more aware of your existence and your popularity. Remember, the media groups and their attack dog lawyers go after the big suppliers of their material.

Fame is the worst thing you could have for such a website. I enjoy your site myself, and have it bookmarked with all my other download sites, but seriously, don't encourage or embrace this at all. You will only get scrutinized even more.

I kinda thought that as well, but then this blog tends to share rarer-than-usual stuff, less worth the effort to pester. And i for one will purchase legit copies of any music i download and find worth keeping, so in a sense you're *helping* them by turning me on to songs i hadn't heard before.

BTW, if they *do* decide to give you grief, I'd still visit whether or not you share music.

Congrads for all the work you do.
When you have a moment you may want to update your "Morgue Approved Links" as many of them have passed away (OST Hub and Rare and OOP Soundtracks for example).

Soundtrack Rarities is also DOA

Well deserved.
I enjoy the writing as much
as the tunes.
And sadly, anonymous may have
a point as well.
I guess you'll find out soon enough.

Michelle Ryan is very probably the sweetest thing on the planet, I remember thinking when she was on "eastenders" that she should be a film star or something...totally gorgeous.

It's odd seeing blogs listed in national newspapers...a mixed blessing, but also pretty funny. MondoMorricone died a death ages ago though & "La Morte Accarrezza..." is no "gore classic"!

Anon's scare mongering is a little ott...there are thousands of blogs sharing in print music, the record companies know that. It's not as if you don't put other things on your blog too, unlike some sites which are more like free record shops.

One blog in particular has practically the entire back catalogue of one artist...your blog has a mixture of things & serves to introduce people to a variety of music rather than provide them with an instant soundtrack collection.
