The Morgue Wants You.....to try and help me out with some requests.

Thought I'd try my luck and see if anyone happens to have a few things I'm looking for. Well, things I'm looking for, and things I've had requests for that I couldn't fulfill. If anyone has any of these let me know. If you upload it yourself I can make a post with it, or just send me in the direction of a site you find it on, if you do. Whatever works for you. Also, if you're here to make a request you can check on my links, my Rate Your Music list is there, so you can see if I have it first. So, here's the list, which as of this update is alphabetized.

Hi Phelpster (and everyone else),

I posted awhile back in another thread which I can't seem to remember now (it was a soundtrack post, not this request one) for the soundtrack to the movie "Malevolence". I'm not sure if it was moved to be included in this section, and I'm sorta running late for work now, so forgive me if I just overlooked it.

But I was wondering if there was a soundtrack for "Malevolence"? Stephan Mena, the director of the film, did the music if that's any help (probably not).

Thank you!

Hey, great blog. Love the niche angle. I've just started one like it myself @ http://scifiscores.blogspot.com/ - want to exchange links?

Anonymous Malevolence requester - As far as I know there isn't a sountrack out there for Malevolence. I checked around and didn't see anything, but I'll let you know if I find any information
on it.

Frontier - Sure, I'm always up for exchanging links with a new site. I'll add you next time I update the site.

Anon - Sorry about the long delay in responding, I'll get that one back up for you shortly.

tboy - Hey, good to see you back in action. I'll definitely add you to my links on my next update. Yeah
if you could upload Action Jackson that would be great, the only thing I could even find remotely
close in my searching was a band called Affirmative Action Jackson. Clever and all, but not what I'm after. I appreciate the offer.

Does anyone have the soundtrack to the 1984 film Street Hero? Its an austrailian film I think and i know there was an official soundtrack released!

Hi,

I wanted to know if anyone has the the song moving violations by nona hendryx, from the moving Moving violations 1985? Also I want to know if anyone has the Disorderlies soundtrack 1987? Finally I want to know if anyone has this piece of music that was done by Herbie Hancock in the movie Colors 1988? It's a instrumental funk track that was being played in the scene where the mexicans are having a house party.

Thanks,

Eric

Thanx so much for the cool stuff!!! I have been looking for the Breakfast Club's version of Drive My Car for years!

All I need now is the instrumental version that was on the flip from the movies "hit" single, and their extended mixes. My fave 80s band.

It's cool that you are a Bernard Hermann fan too!

Any idea where I can find the (bad but fun)soundtrack to Satisfaction?

Awesome blog! Nice to find others with love of soundtracks!

I'm wondering if you happen to know or know of anyone who may have access to the soundtrack for a little-known 1986 Tawny Kitaen film called "Crystal Heart" (or Corazon de cristal, as IMDB lists it). You may have seen it, or may not, more likely - it's about a guy in a bubble and the up-and-coming popstar (Kitaen) who loves him. CORNY 80s and cheesy soundtrack, but it's #1 on my wishlist. Trivia bit - the woman who supplies Tawny's vocals on the soundtrack is Andrea Robinson, who also did the vocals for Sister Mary Robert (the white nun with soul) in "Sister Act".

phelpster said...

leeblob - Hi, thanks, glad you like the site! I have the Police Academy score, but I don't have the Jack Mack stuff. I looked around and I saw Emusic has some of their music for download, you should be able to get a free 2-week trial if you've never used Emusic before. I tried but I had an Emusic account like 6 years ago and they won't let me do it again. Bastards.

As for the three soundtracks you mentioned, I still haven't found those so if you would like to upload them I'd really appreciate it, and I'm sure the original requesters would be very happy. I'll let you know if I happen to find the Jack Mack songs somewhere.

Hey, sweet blog you have going here. I'm searching for a score that apparently has never been released as far as I can tell. It's damned frustrating when you are searching and are even willing to pay money for something, but it looks like it hasn't even been released. I thought I'd see if you can find it though.
It's the score for Guillermo del Toro's Cronos by Javier Alvarez. I saw the movie for the first time a while back and it's pretty cool, but I really enjoyed the music.
By the way I have the score for Children of Dune but unfortunately it's encoded in 128 CBR and wma files. Let me know if you're interested though.

Here's another rare request, but does anyone have the soundtrack/score to Punchline (Tom Hanks)?

Anonymous said...

Wow, 258 comments. I am not sure if you will even see this one.

Great blog and love the MST3K.
Suggestions for the future would be

311 - It Conquered the world (because “We learned too late that man is a feeling creature...”)

315 - Teenage Caveman (the film that launched Robert Vaugn's career).

317 - Viking Women and the Sea Serpent (because it is Roger)

411 - The Magic Sword (Gary Lockwood, AND Basil Rathbone)

420 - Human Duplicators (the film that earned Richard Kiel is first Oscar snub . . . its all politics you know)

422 - The day the earth froze (OK, why wasn't this the first one you did? After all, it has a SAMPO!!!)

Related to that of course are
505 - Magic Voyage of Sinbad and
617 - Sword and the Dragon (not to be confused with "Magic Sword" above) and the last of the Russo/Finnish trilogy, 813 - Jack Frost.

That should be enough suggestions for a start, I expect you to have these on your blog by closing time, After all, what are we paying you for anyway??

Keep up the good work. I love the Erie comics as well.

Oneiroijerm – If you end up getting Polar Express that would be great if you could post it here. I’m still looking out for that one as well.

revack7 – Haven’t seen Punchline anywhere before, I’ll add it to the list though.

Richard – Glad you enjoy the MST stuff. The next one I’m planning to do is Escape 2000, but I think I’ve got every one that you listed (I think I've got like 80% of all of the episodes) so I’ll try and get some of those up soon. If you’re really itching for more of them be sure to check out the torrent sites out there, that’s where I’ve gotten almost all of my episodes. I’m trying to get them up more frequently, I’m not doing a very good job at the moment though.

leeblob – Yes, please do, that would be great! I had several requests for them when I posted the score a while back.

Eric – I think I saw that one pretty recently, but I can’t quite remember where. I’ll post back if I remember.

terries – I remember seeing No Mercy over at Industrial Cocktail, but I don’t know if that site still exists. When I try to go there it tells me I’m not allowed to view the site.

Kristian – The new Deadboy link is back up

The Long Island Ripper - Thanks a lot for the mention! I really appreciate that. I thought I got Inner Space like a year ago, but I can’t seem to find it. I’ll double check through my stuff and see if I still have it.

If you wanna post Chuck Cirino's scores for "Sorority House Massacre 2" and "Hard to Die" (or if anyone wants them), I've got them streaming on my site right now. All you have to do is go to the Music page, have all the files open in the separate Windows Media Player playlist, play the file you want then go to File and Save As (they're all MP3s and encoded at 128 kbps). SHM 2 is 26 tracks and HTD is 33 tracks. Click on my name to go to my site and leave me thanks at my guestbook or something. :-)

Bryan, I have six tracks from Jon St. James "Trans-Atlantic" album:

01. Desperate Days
03. Two Girls Dancing
04. Trans-Atlantic
05. All Shook Up In Love
06. Playback (with Stacey Q)
07. The Girl Who Seduced The World

Also, I've got the theme from "Night of the Demons," along with "The Beast Inside" ripped from the DVD. I even made a special mix which combines both the opening and ending credits' music for "Here In The Darkness" by Greg Stone from "Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama" - which you can find on my site in the Music section at http://www.hockstatter.com - You will have to open up the Music in the separate Windows Media Player, go to "Here In The Darkness" by skipping ahead to the very last track, and go to File, then Save As...

If you want me to send the NOTD theme or any of the Jon St. James tracks, send me an e-mail at thiefofhearts86@hotmail.com and let me know how I can send them.

Hi,
My name is David and I am trying to find some old horror comic titles but I don't know what magazines they came from.
When I first read them it must have been back in the early 70's (71-73?), I remember the stories were all in black and white so they may have been reprints of 50's comics. My dad used to be a teacher and I found a whole stack of horror comics in some kids locker.
-one story was about a guy who was seeing two women and they kept feeding him and insisting that he eat alot and one night one of the women turned into a vampire and he managed to kill her. He went to see the other woman and she ended up killing him but she was a werewoman not a vampire like he thought. I think she strangled him to death on the last panel of the comic.
-one story was about an archeological team exploring a pyramid that had a mummy curse. They all laugh at it and a mummy starts killing the team one by one and the survivors escape by sealing the tomb. The mummy was really one of the team who was trying to scare them away so he could keep the treasure for himself but he got trapped alive when the professor sealed the tomb. It had a pretty graphic scene of a man getting his head sliced in half by the mummy.Brains and severed teeth and stuff.
-one story had a group of people stranded on an island with some kind of old witch demon that would kill them and the only thing that would save you was having a little talisman/effigy necklace in your possession and the people kept trying to get it from each other I think they were betraying each other to get possession of it. Finally there was one man and one woman left and the guy put the talisman down to try and screw the chick but she was the witch demon and he was too far away from the talisman to reach it before she caught him and killed him.
-one story was story was about a couple who were married and they went to some remote island with a group and there were some wild beastmen who were killing them one by one. Finally the one guy who was supposed to be the hero turned on his group at the last minute and killed them and the beastmen welcomed him "back" "you have been gone many moons .. etc."

Those are the ones I remember if any of these ring a bell please drop me a line.

There are roughly 5 "blogs" I keep up with, & yours is one of them.

My question (or request) is one you MUST have heard before, but I simply went cross-eyed reading all the comments...

Is it all all possible to post your findings as MP3s?

Hideous Sexy is yet another pointless covers album from Mary Shelley Overdrive — available for FREE download. The EP is a collection of cover songs recorded during practice sessions, rehearsals, etc. during the recording of our (as yet untitled) LP.

Included on the album are covers of songs by Blue Oyster Cult, Antiseen, Black Flag, Devo, Bo Diddley, The White Stripes and The Vaselines, as well as an interpretation of the '60s Batman theme. No money should change hands for this album. Feel free to post it on your blog or share it however you choose.

You can download Hideous Sexy here:
http://www.2shared.com/file/3363511/69b6ce66/Hideous_Sexy.html

(2Shared is a bit clunky, but we opted for this service because it allows us to track download numbers.)

You can find us online at www.maryshelleyoverdrive.com
If 2shared gives you problems, there is a Megaupload mirror at our main website.

@ Kimberly
I have a lossless rip of the original cd release. I can convert it for you in 256 although I'm not sure why you would insist on 256 over 320.
It's not the release you're after, but if you don't find the one you're after I can provide this one.

01 - Nitzche, Jack & Krzysztof Pendrecki - Iraq
02 - Oldfield, Mike - Georgetown 'Tubular Bells'
03 - Webern, Anton - Five Pieces for Orchestra Op.10
04 - Pendrecki, Krzysztof - Polymorphia
05 - Pendrecki, Krzysztof - String Quartet (1960)
06 - Bee, Harry - 'Beginnings' [from 'The Wind Harp']
07 - Crum, George - (Tutti) Threnody 1- Night of the Electronic Insects
08 - Pendrecki, Krzysztof - Kanon for Orchestra and Tape
09 - Oldfield, Mike - Tubular Bells
10 - Henze, Hans Werner - Fantasia for Strings

This seems to be the only place in the blogosphere that someone ever posted a link to:

THE
LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE (1973) - The Complete and Unedited Score by Brian Hodgson & Delia Derbyshire

of course the Megaupload link is now dead being over 3 years old but given the coolness of the film and the electronic score, I thought this would be right up The Manchester Morgue's haunted street....in the highly unlikely event that anyone snarfed it and is able to repost it, could they leave a comment here....It was never released officially so I take it, it was a rip from the film dvd but I may be wrong.

Well worth posting here and if I do come across it I will send you a link.
